The amazing Winspear Opera House in Dallas was the setting for the performance of Pucini’s Madame Butterfly.  I had the good fortune to attend the performance last night and had a blast.  The beauty of the architecture of the new Performing Arts Center in downtown Dallas was breathtaking!  Here are a few photos taken with what Chase Jarvis rates as the BEST CAMERA – the one that’s with you! In my case my trusty iPhone (to see all my photos visit me at my Facebook page):

Success requires more than HOPE for the real estate agent.

Do you have a business plan for your real estate business? Does it contain the essential elements such as Technology, Marketing, and Website Plans? If not, your plan for success is HOPE.

  • HOPE that you succeed
  • HOPE that you get a listing
  • HOPE that the buyer will make an offer
  • HOPE that your website is visited and generates leads
  • HOPE that you close enough sales to pay the bills this month

While HOPE has its place, it is too passive a way to approach an aggressive, competitive business. Deliberate planning, discipline, and commitment are essential elements for anyone who wants more out of a real estate career than a few sales a year…and yet many whom you meet in the business cannot articulate anything close to a systematic approach to selling. Las Vegas Baby!  MGM, NYNY, HOB, and you know the rest! Here are a few shots from our recent visit to Las Vegas.

Love love

I recently had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas and attend the annual Easter Seals Celebration of Giving as a guest of Century 21 who has donated close to $100 million dollars to the organization and CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company who has donated over $1 million. We had a blast and learned a lot about the charity. I am stoked about our grass roots efforts here in Dallas and our gala and golf event set for September 19 and 21st to raise money for Easter Seals North Texas. I hope you can join us by attending or making a donation for this very incredible organization!

Sandy and WW Las Vegas FUN!

Just in from a wonderful 3 day R&R in Las Vegas at the invitation of Easter Seals and CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company for the annual “Celebration of Giving” retreat for Easter Seals top givers. Hubby and I landed in Vegas on Wednesday (our first trip to Vegas!) and checked into the Green Valley Resort and Casino (off the strip). WOW. Luxury, fun, shows, a little gambling! We really had a great time. But the real “greatness” was hanging out with people who truly care about giving and care about helping others. I learned that Easter Seals is now the #1 charity in America, helping tens of thousands of individuals, children and adults, with disabilities, they also help military personnel returning from war.

CENTURY 21
is one of the top donors to Easter Seals, giving almost $100 MILLION dollars to this great organization over the last 30 years. CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company right here in Dallas also is a top company donor, giving over $1 MILLION dollars to Easter Seals in the last ten years. Other companies represented there as top donors to Easter Seals were Safeway, Food Lion, CVS Pharmacy (Caremark), Easter Seals employees, Amway Global, Friendly Ice Cream (OMG! their vanilla fudge sundaes were delish!), Fraternal Order of Police, News America Marketing, MassMutual Financial Group, Bayer HealthCare, National Snowmobile Association, Microsoft Corp, Dr. Pepper/7Up, Niagra Bottling, Johnson and Johnson, PhRMA, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Luxottica Retail, Halliburton, Epsilon Sigma Alpha (who introduced me to Flintstones chewable sour gummie vitamins!!!), Bank of America and Campbell Mithun.

BIG KUDOS to these great organizations that have chosen to support and give to people at the grass roots level to help them live better lives!

My favorite day was the day at the spa with Weldon, we had a massage then hung out at the private pool in absolutely PERFECT weather. It was like heaven and I actually relaxed after making a few videos about the trip! We did have a blast in the casinos, we trolled the strip on Thursday night and returned to our rooms about 5 am after indulging in a fabulous FATBURGER! No worries if you are a client of Weldon’s (Body by Wright) he had a small one with no cheese!!! In all that fun we were lucky and didn’t loose too much money, I am way to conservative with my hard earned bucks! But I could sure play $5 at a slot machine and be totally entertained for a good hour!! ; D

Back home now, brainstorming on how I can give back and how I can use my marketing expertise to promote the 2009 Mardi Gras Easter Seals Gala in Dallas! Email me if you want to buy a ticket, help sponsor the event and / or donate an auction item!

Thanks so much to Jim Fite and Jan Fite Miller at CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company AND Easter Seals for making this wonderful time available to Weldon and I. The true emotion is in being able to help others, to give of ourselves and from what we have to bless others. You guys ROCK!

Love and Peace,
Sandy

I started this rainy day with a brand new Bob Dylan CD (pick it up at Starbucks) it is a totally chill recording in old blues style behind that gravelly voice. At the office there were tears as my dear friend Shirley left for retirement! We will miss her so much. I rolled up the blinds in my office to let in the view of the rain…love this kind of weather especially with the blues playing!
