Hey all! I can’t believe it has been almost a year since I posted to my blog…how embarrassing! And I am a Marketing Director that touts technology! LOL! Well the truth is I have been swamped and overwhelmed with work, but Weldon and I took off for 11 days to really VACATE! And we did it along the California Coast. We started at San Diego and landed in San Francisco. Everything in between was nothing less than magical. Here are a few photos I wanted to share with you….

The first photo is from La Jolla. It was a great “town” by the sea. Typical southern CA fashion, cool breeze, warm sun. We loved this place and could have stayed there ….forever! The shoreline was beautiful with rocks and great surf and sand beaches.

This Photo is so cool, the twisted and wrapping of this ages old tree trunk is really a common site in La Jolla….Weldon and I lovingly gave them the phrase throughout our trip as the “ancient” trees…cypress, oaks.

This tree caught my eye with it’s unique “skin”, the variety of color and texture was calling for a photo! This was taken in Venice Beach (too much fun!). More photos on Venice Beach will be coming to my website soon….

And of course my honey couldn’t go to Venice Beach without stopping in and working out at MUSCLE BEACH! Work it Weldon!

And let me end this short blog with a message to all Obama and McCain…simple and to the point: PEACE!

Stay tuned, I will have more photos available to view of our trip as I get them processed!

Love and peace…
Sandy

Climbing Comp in Salt Lake

I was in Salt Lake City in late February to support my son and brother in a climbing competition honoring my niece, Melanie Hibbard, a well known and loved climber who recently died of a brain tumor. It was a great event that was well attended by old and new friends all honoring Melanie. I had a chance to catch some cool poses!

Check out those arms…

All the photos for the event are posted to http://www.lensqueen.com so go there and take a look at all these buff SLC’ers.

This is my son Joshua who lives and plays in SLC. He is heavy into music and art (a great artist) and climbing of course.

And here is a peek at a couple of his latest paintings….
