I was in the mood for some creativity this long holiday weekend so in follow up to my Labor Day 10-Photo Challenge using your iPhone or mobile device, here are my results.  Tonight’s the deadline, so here we go!  Let me know your thoughts…peace and love – Sandy

Let’s forget politics, marketing deadlines, business plans and money for a minute and put our creative eyes to work over this long Labor Day weekend!  Join me for another 10-photo challenge, originally inspired by Chase Jarvis, photographer extraordinaire!

Here’s how it works:  Using your iphone or other mobile phone camera, take 10 photos within 10 meters of you.  Look for the detail, the color, texture, whatever inspires you  in the common or not-so-common things that surround you – whether you are at home watching football, by the pool, or travelling to an exotic destination!  Take a zillion photos then choose the best 10.  Then post them to your favorite photo hosting page – photobucket, smugmug, twitpix -  or upload to your Facebook  account or blog.  Be sure to “share” the link to the photos  via Facebook,  Twitter, Digg, and any other social networking site you are a member of.  DEADLINE:  have the photos up Monday evening.

Let’s look for the beauty that is around us and share it!  Spread the love!

Have fun!

Sandy

Here is my second 10-photo challenge with a mobile phone taking 10 photos within 10 meters of me!  Always a fun project and a way to try to see things differently and be spontaneous by using a camera phone, or in my case my new iPhone!  Here are my 10 from this July 4th weekend.  Love Love!

Life has been way too busy for me, but I have still had time to snap a few pixs along the way with my phone.  Here are some old and some new….love to all!  and don’t forget to check back for Saturday SOUL tomorrow!

Did you know there are 10 great photos within 10 meters of you? Just need a good eye and have your camera with you (or phone!). I challenged my daughter last night thanks to the idea I got from chasejarvis.com to look for 10 photos that are in your immediate environment. I am using my D70 Nikon with no flash, you can use your iphone, or any phone camera, or your favorite SLR or point and click. So, who is in for the challenge with me? Let me see your 10 photos!

Here is the latest installment of my MOBILE journal….from Las Vegas! We had too much fun!

I started this rainy day with a brand new Bob Dylan CD (pick it up at Starbucks) it is a totally chill recording in old blues style behind that gravelly voice. At the office there were tears as my dear friend Shirley left for retirement! We will miss her so much. I rolled up the blinds in my office to let in the view of the rain…love this kind of weather especially with the blues playing!

I originally posted phone pixs a couple of years ago on my blog just exploring the art you can create with your phone (check older posts here to find them), but had forgotten them until I was delightfully reminded this week thanks to Chase Jarvis’ (check it at http://tinyurl.com/d5a5j7) very cool iPhone Gallery. Taking photos with your phone is like documenting everything…it is your mobile journal. I love it! Since I have been inspired, I wanted to inspire YOU by sharing some of my recent phone pixs…and I am still shooting from a dinasaur Razor!

Let me know what you did today and tweet me a phone pix!

This so reminds me of summer, how it smells, feels on your skin…the heat on your feet!  Love this photo taken at Venice Beach in sunny southern cal!
